- The construction of two new elementary schools will alleviate functional capacity concerns at the district’s current elementary schools. The enrollment capacity for each school will be 712 students, serving students in grades K-5.
- Crutchfield (1951) and Fairview (1952-53) elementary schools were all built in the 1950s and do not meet current educational and building requirements. Replacement campuses at these sites will improve functional capacity and increase maximum capacity at each to 712 students. Additions completed in 1996 will be retained and incorporated into the new schools. The existing campuses will continue to serve students without disruption while construction is underway on the opposite side of the properties.
- Elementary student capacity will increase from the current 809 to 2,848 -产生额外的2,039 student capacity across the district’s elementary schools.
- The new state-of-the-art facilities will include the latest in technology and safety and security for students and staff.
